Home again Home again . . .

Spring is here!! When Justin and I got home from vacation some beautiful flowers had bloomed! We couldn't resist making a beautiful arrangement. The irises and buttercups (jonquils) are beautiful no maintenance perennials! We let 'em bloom and enjoy God's creation!  The vase is from Taste of Home Entertaining (contact Megan Jones for more info). I also have a few more pics from vacation!  We finished the week with some challenging putt putt golf and a beautiful sunrise on Saturday morning! Once again – The beauty of GOD!!   Lastly, we took a short detour by Atlanta Motor Speedway on the way home.  This track has 24 degree banking!  You can't tell how unbelievable that is from the pictures, but trust me it is awesome!!

Hilton Head Update

I finally have a minute or two to update! Our vacation has been so much fun!  I recapped earlier but let me review.  We arrived Saturday afternoon and got settled in.  On Sunday, we all went to the First Baptist Church here on the Island (we went to the “modern” service – a first for Justin – A little different from Ecru Baptist).  Then we watched our first St. Patrick’s Day Parade.  And can I say – Ecru isn’t the only parade with fire trucks and rednecks.  The local officials rode in convertibles just like the homecoming queens!  I think we should start this in ECRU!! Amy and JD drove all night Sunday and were here to bring in the sunrise on the East Coast.  This was our first east coast sunrise.  It was cloudy, so the pictures aren’t the best, but they get better.  This was taken from our patio.   Once the week started things just flew by. . . On Tuesday, we went golfing on a beautiful golf course.  This was the first time we had played since last vacation.  We are

A quick update from Hilton Head, SC . . . Quick list for things we have done: Watched the sunrise on a cloudy morning Walked down the road with the girls! Played golf at Robert Trent Jones Golf Course Went to Savannah and ate a Paula Deen's - completely worth the $20 for the buffet. The food was great! I don't eat greens, but I ate 2 helpings of greens off the buffet. The best buffet ever!! Saw an old church in Savannah More updates later . . .

Snow Day . . .

I can't believe it snowed! The weather man said it would but I was skeptical. Of course, its almost melted by now, but still . . . SNOW!! We got a snow day from church, but that is not the same as a snow day out of school. Still striving onward with the National Boards. I actually think I made good progress this week. My goal for finishing is two weeks. We are going on vacation during Spring Break and I don't want that hanging over me. My sweet husband encourages by saying, "You're the one that is going to be working while I play all week." I guess he knows how to motivate me and he would . . . "Play without me" on spring break. He really has been great and always ask how he can help me finish, but there really isn't anything he can do. I want to finish, pack, and mail it before we leave. It has to be postmarked by March 31st, so if I don't get it mailed before I leave I might can live with that. This is my busy life. My friends ar
