Man on a Mission (titled by JM)

Justin had a great day today – I feel like I should make a list of his accomplishments!

p Sit in a chair and eat breakfast

p Complain because it was a plain biscuit , without sausage

p Let the nurse practitioner remove “electrical wires” and large bandage from stomach area without any drama

p Walk “around the block” (or down the hall – whatever)

p Take pain meds without nausea meds and not get sick

p Eat an entire roast beef sandwich for lunch

p Walk “around the block” again

p Eat chicken nuggets for supper

p Take a shower

p Take a nap after taking the shower

p Walk “around the block” for the 3rd time!!

p Eat some choc pudding

__ Rest – working on this

Not only was Justin on a mission, we have seen the 3 year old boy in hallway (The one from the dr.’s appt on Monday with the balloon).  He was walking much faster than Justin and blowing bubbles as he walked.  It is amazing how kids forget their pain.  We also heard some nurses holler down the hallway, “Stop him”.  Apparently another little boy was also feeling well.  Some of the kids ride little cars and things.  Mom and Dad saw a little girl dancing for her recovery!  It has been fun to see the different recovery methods.

Hope that everyone has a restful night and finds something to smile about tonight!

Comments

Please make JM dance in the hallway!! Oh, and as he dances, make him blow bubbles!!! :)

Great to see all the accomplishments. Did he get a lollipop for each one? I feel like there should at least be a sticker reward for each milestone. We liked it better when Justin on was pain meds and saying funny things, though. . .

One more thing - I have a great story, too! Abigail needs to call me because she won't believe this. It involves dogs (oh, how I love furry things) and blood and hospitals all within a few hours and no passing out!! (this is still Amy typing under Jason's log in)

I second Meg. Tell Jmac I said he can do the gopher dance. lol That won't require much of his body to be moving. At the end of all this you will truly be able to say you have been around the block several times ha. So glad that things are going well! I love this blog thing now! And Amy, I'm glad to know some of our family can not pass out when blood and or needles are involved. Love you!
