Not much to report on here. I am still working on my National Boards and not even sure that I will get paid if I pass. The budget is not looking good. We have been told to turn off the computers at night and watch our thermostats during the day to help cut costs. So, paying extra for National Board certification may not be high priority!

Amy, thanks so much for encouraging me forward with your comments! I didn't know if you read my blog (which I hardly ever update!). I have accomplishments written and rewritten once. I am still waiting on the second revision. I have basically done the same on the Social Studies Entry. The writing entry is coming along. I am waiting for the kids to finish the second writing! SCIENCE is scary! I can't wrap my mind around what I need to do! Pushing forward the best I can looking forward to Spring Break and Hilton Head!

Justin and I are still working on the weight loss. We are up to about 6 pounds each. Not a big loss, but the slower it comes off the longer it will stay off! Of course, vacation will not be good in the middle of our diet! Justin is doing biggest loser at work and wants to win the money!! That is what motivates him!
One cool thing that my family is doing this year is called secret sibling. We each drew names including mom, dad, and the in-laws. We each do something secretly for our secret sibling. It can be a phone call to check on them and they not know we are their secret sibling, a card with a happy :), a snack that is left somewhere, etc. In January I got a coke and some Starbursts! (So fun!) In February, I got a magnet with the bible verse,
Isaiah 40:31.
"But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength,
they shall mount up with wings as eagles,
they shall run and not be weary,
they shall walk and not faint."
An awesome verse to show the power of God and encourage each of us to push forward even when things get tough! Thanks secret sibling!!

Justin has been moved to a room this morning!  He is doing great!  All of the doctors and nurses are very excited about his progress.  Before leaving ICU, they removed most of his “stuff” (except for one IV).  This allow him to move around more freely, which is the next step.  Justin will be getting up and walking around this afternoon.  He is also just starting to eat again.  If you think about it, he hasn’t had anything since Monday night supper.  So, it will be like learning how to eat after the stomach virus.  We are praying this doesn’t make him sick.  They will also be giving pain medicine by mouth, so we are also praying that his pain continues to stay under control! He is making such great progress!  I think he is far ahead, especially with moving around, than he was this far out of last year with his surgery!  That is exciting!  Praising the Lord for this! Update and Welcome

I know that many of you are new to our blog, so welcome! Justin and I enjoy blogging about our lives, but I know that many of you have just joined us for surgery. So, please stay tuned for the rest of our lives as well! Justin is doing well. He has rested most of the day. He also sat up in a chair for an HOUR! He said his chest pain was fine, but he couldn't get his neck comfortable in that chair ( because he wanted to SLEEP!) He has been a great patient and has his normal humor. He also has comments that make little to no sense and probably won't remember most of this! Funny Comments from Justin today - Mrs. Anita was talking to Justin and finally said, "I think you're sleeping, so I'm going to leave you along. " to which Justin replied (With eyes closed) - "I can multitask!" Mom was cracking jokes by his bed and said, "I guess you don't think this is funny."
