Praise ye the Lord

The outcome from the doctor changed a liitle today from last night. Let me start there, but read the entire blog.

This morning the doc said, if in fact the bypass is closed as we are 95% sure that it is, then you will need to have open heart surgery again by a surgeon who can do a special surgery to reroute the left main artery. Heart cath on Monday will double check the bypass artery.

Everyone we have spoken to today we have asked to pray specifically that the bypass artery is open when we do the heart cath. Tonight Justin and I both got encouraging phone calls from different people. Justin's mom called to say that his papaw said, " I have been praying about this since I heard this afternoon and I have peace about it. The Bible tells us if we have faith even as a mustard seed, we can move mountains.". My dad called to remind me that when he was battling cancer, they found a gray spot that they were certain was a problem and was not.

It gets better. . . Justin and I have been reading through the new testament and tonight was Mark 11. A little over half way through the chapter, tears filled our eyes as we know the Lord was speaking to us. I won't spoil it for you, go read Mark 11!

I'm so sorry Justin has to go through another surgery...I remember Granny Mc always telling me "The Lord won't give ya more than you can take Sherry." She was right. The Lord has made me strong and sometimes I wondered and yes I even questioned but in the end I still came out of it. I want you guys to know I love you both and Robert and I have some airline points and some free hotel nights we want to give you guys when you find out exactly when you have to go and how long. Call us. Loving you!

I know that many of you are new to our blog, so welcome! Justin and I enjoy blogging about our lives, but I know that many of you have just joined us for surgery. So, please stay tuned for the rest of our lives as well! Justin is doing well. He has rested most of the day. He also sat up in a chair for an HOUR! Boston Bound

Well you will notice (assuming I get internet and get to post this blog) that it is in fact 12:17am.  If you know me at all, you know that I am not awake at this time by choice!  Also keep in mind that it is technically 1:17 where I am. Let me walk you through the day  . . . Mrs. Anita and Mr. Jimmy arrived in Ecru around 8am to pick us up.  The ride to the Memphis airport was quick and talkative.  We arrived at the airport around 9:30.   We unloaded all the bags at the curb and the men went to park the car.  Just trying to get a jump start on the day, I went to the ticket counter (where there was no line!) to see if I could get us checked in.  The man let me check all the bags and bumped us up to an earlier flight.  He was afraid that due to the weather, our 12:45 flight would be delayed.  When we got the gate we found out that the flight we were put on was also delayed.  The original flight was late getting to Charlotte, then flew to Memphis but could not land because of weather.

First, I would like to welcome our new blog readers to our lives online.  Because of Justin’s heart situation, we have some new readers to our blog.  I would like to encourage you to follow after this is all over with as well.  This is a fun way for Justin and I to share about our “interesting” (although you may not think so) lives! Health Update – Justin and I talked to and received an email from Dr. Gupta, the doc in Tupelo who is taking care of us.  He said that he is sending all of Justin’s info to Dr. Landzberg in Boston.  They should receive the info by Friday and hopefully review his info by Monday.  Dr. Gupta is expecting to hear from them by mid-week at the latest, hopefully by Monday or Tuesday.   So, Justin and the rest of the family are just in the waiting stage.  It reminds me of Dr. Suess’s book “Oh the Places You’ll Go”.  There is a page or two about the “waiting place”.  You can tell from the pictures in the book and the writing, that this is not the best place to be
