Welcome new readers

First, I would like to welcome our new blog readers to our lives online.  Because of Justin’s heart situation, we have some new readers to our blog.  I would like to encourage you to follow after this is all over with as well.  This is a fun way for Justin and I to share about our “interesting” (although you may not think so) lives!

Health Update – Justin and I talked to and received an email from Dr. Gupta, the doc in Tupelo who is taking care of us.  He said that he is sending all of Justin’s info to Dr. Landzberg in Boston.  They should receive the info by Friday and hopefully review his info by Monday.  Dr. Gupta is expecting to hear from them by mid-week at the latest, hopefully by Monday or Tuesday.   So, Justin and the rest of the family are just in the waiting stage.  It reminds me of Dr. Suess’s book “Oh the Places You’ll Go”.  There is a page or two about the “waiting place”.  You can tell from the pictures in the book and the writing, that this is not the best place to be in the world.  But, it will pass and we will move forward.  ( I like Dr. Suess, and my students will tell you this is one of my favorite stories of his.  I based my high school graduation speech on it, a speech in college on it, and use it in my classroom with my students!)  Please pray for the doctors who are reviewing Justin’s information that they will be able to make the correct suggestions as to what we should do.  Pray also that we will have the wisdom we need to make the correct decisions as we move forward.

Justin went back to work today and we have moved on with life as much as possible.  It is difficult at times to move forward, but we are keeping our heads up through the power of prayer and our trust in the Lord.  We enjoyed prayer meeting tonight at church.  (We have asked others to take our Wednesday night children classes, until we can get back.) Other good news – We also found out at church tonight that some friends of ours who are expecting a baby received good news at the doctor today.  This sweet couple, who are our age, lost a baby this past year.  We are so excited that this new baby is healthy.  They are due in January.

My cousin, Suzy, is having her second child on Monday – very excited about this.  Her sister is having surgery tomorrow.  She broke/splintered her ankle/leg.  (Not sure of all the correct details) Point- she is having surgery Thursday morning.  Please pray for the doctors as they operate and her as she recovers.

On a lighter note, Ty (our sweet puppy) began taking puppy classes last week.  We are not going to be able to continue these right now, but he is a fast learner.  We went to talk to our trainer yesterday and she actually boards dogs!  So, if we have to leave town, our trainer might actually keep our dog!  He will be really smart, by the time we get home!
